Salmon & Steelhead Journal

 

I’ve recently moved up to Northern California, East of Sacramento, from San Diego. I have been an avid Fisherman since I was a kid. Since moving here to Northern California (Sacramento area) in Feb. ’08, I have only been able to scratch the surface of some of the great fishing this part of the country has to offer… I have been able to participate in some great Striped Bass fishing in the American River, Some small Stealhead, and a couple incidental King Salmon while pursuing Stealhead. (Careful to revive and release unharmed.) and a couple nice small mouth bass in Folsom Lake… My children and I have also had the privilege to catch several Salmon (2) moving up the S. Fork American River out of Folsom Lake. (I wonder if they are successfully spawning in the river..?)

I’m sure most of you who live in this part of the country already know about the book, but for those of you who don’t… A few weeks back, while at a local tackle store I came across an awesome magazine, Salmon & Steelhead Journal. Very Nice! I couldn’t even wait until I got home, I was thumbing through it at all the red lights on the way home… I could not get through it fast enough. Like a kid in the candy store! I have read it cover to cover and I am now going back and re-reading some of the articles again… and again. The articles have already helped. They put together a very nice book! (Man, I’d love to get some back issues from at least this year… Just not in the budget right now. Still recovering from the costly move up here… Soon…) I have been in Advertising/Marketing for almost 20 years, have had my own copany for the last seven plus years and building ads for various publications… I love to see a quality book like this, quality stock, awesome photography, with some great content! Please keep up the good work. You will now have another subscriber as soon as it’s in the budget.

I look forward with great anticipation to all of the upcoming years of fishing adventures here in Nor Cal, Oregon, and North… and certainly to the Issues of Salmon & Steelhead Journal arrival in my mailbox.
