Folsom Lake Trout

I hooked up with Al the other day for a few hours of fishing on Folsom Lake for Salmon and Trout. Although I have fished for Trout many times and have done a bit of trolling with small Rapala’s, etc. this type of fishing with down-riggers and trolling with dodgers, etc. is all new. The weather was awesome and the water on the main lake was pretty clean, but as we ventured up the South fork, the water clarity deteriorated and we encountered a lot of floating debris. Although we metered a lot of fish, and caught a few Trout on the surface, unfortunately we did not get any of the Salmon to go,.. Next time! All in all it was a great trip for just a couple hours. I hope to join Al again soon and do battle with many of the Salmon. Thanks again!
Here are a few shots of the Trout we boated.

Boy you are one blessed guy to live in that area, aren’t you glad you moved?
